About the Program:
The Gear Lending Program is a library of field clothes and camping equipment to support students in Earth and Planetary Science field-based classes at no cost to them. Students in our major typically have 20-60 days of required field trips, including several overnight camping trips. Gear for these classes can cost over $500 per student and is not covered by campus or laboratory fees. The program is managed by the AWG (Association for Women Geoscientists) Student Chapter at UC Davis.
Donations:
Donations of used gear and clothing can be dropped off in the first floor atrium - please email awgucd_admin@ucdavis.edu if you drop off several bulky items or if the bin is full. It will be checked regularly, but large drop-offs may fill it between the regular checks.
